Lindgren can get more 1000% and the cap is more likely to go to 85-86.5. Not 88.5. Every year we do this but its most likely we only see a 2 mil rise.

Lindgren could maybe go for another bridge year if he was really loyal to NYR but on the open market hes easily getting a 7x6.5 deal or so.

That's an easy pass for the Avalanche. No feelings about him as a player, but rather no cap space for him. What ever cap space the Avs have will be used to retain Towes (and then into the following seasons for Rantanen and Byram), then paint around the edges with $1M type deals.

yeah, this isn't the kind of $3-4mil player the avs can spend money on. someone might, though.

How do the Avs even manage to ice a full roster after that trade?

Cap will be 87.5m, possibly more. Lindgren doesn't get points, gets between Siegenthaler's 5x 3.4m & 5m.

Using a steal of a deal in Siegenthaler is a bad argument. Pelech is a comp and he got in the 6s.

Lindgren is very, very good. Dont sell him short lol hes worth way more to that defense than you realize

Also we have predicted a 4-5 mil raise every year for the past 10 seasons. Its not happening this year. its always "itll happen this offseason" then "no its next offseason" lol. 1 mil is more likely than 4-5

I realize, cause I watch. I've been predicting 7x 4.7m or 5.3m on open the market. Not worth more cause of points and heavy heavy game.
Last reports says 87.5m which makes sense

They almost paid it off this year, way early. Obviously paid off by next year and looking like 87.5m. Plus your reasoning, it's been a while. Fancy elcs & depth nhlers can't live off 1m a year anymore, poor guys lol
