Leafs don't want any part of that deal. We need the cheaper players and as of right now demko isn't worth his contract.

In what world is a top 8 goalie not worth 5M? Demko is on a steal of a contract

Tampa Bay obviously declines. Teams that are competing for Cups don't trade away a bonafide 1C for three depth wingers and a couple of picks. Would Vancouver take this package for Pettersson? I think not!

I don't think he is a top 8 goalie. That's why. I'd rather pay samsonov the 3.5 for in my opinion better goaltending.
