Murphy would be a decent add at 50% but he's cost way too much you certainly can't give up Liljegren for him.

Savard because he kills penalties. But if you’re giving up Lilegren there better be more than that coming back.

Why is it that so many think Leafs Dmen aren't good defensively.
As indicated by so many above, Liljegfren is the best Dmen of any mentioned.
Leafs may add a Dman if the cap allows, but certainly not at the cost of trading one away.

For the right value: any of them could make sense. But I'm not convinced any of them would be worth the cost of what you're giving up for the perceived upgrade.

Murphy at that cap hit isn't great.
Lybushkin is not a long term fix, so why pay more.
Savard is OK, but again, not sure his cap hit is a great fit.
Ferraro any better than Liljegren? He was -31 last year (I realize SJ was awful). Contract stability is his only plus. But I'm not sure Lil would end up being much more on an extension.

Unfortunately TOR spent $4mil on Klingberg who doesn't play defense, and still needs to count on Gio to play meaningful minutes until he's 45.

Sharks aren't burning their last retention slot unless it's a one year deal and it frees up next year.

I am on the optimistic side of the leafs d I know that brodie had his best statistical year last year and yet people want to trade him but you would be lying if you don't admit they need either another physical d or defensive d
And I don't know why everyone on this post got very protective over Liljegren I clearly said Liljegren and/ OR Timmins picks, prospects ect. The only reason I suggested trading him is that he has value
