Allen will probably get us a sixth. So we either get a sixth and get out of his contract or we trade Desmith. It has to be a good offer to make us trade him over Allen

Its kind of a moot point, because there's no incentive for Montreal to retain on DeSmith. They're better off waiving him and either keeping him in the AHL or losing him for nothing.

Hmm I actually like this for both teams.

DeSmith is an upgrade over any back ups Tampa has. They also shed the Myers burried cap hit.

Montreal get a pick and some more RD depth. Probably for the AHL.
