I would not see NJ getting Chris Tanev.
He's in his 30s and he has a history of injuries, and I don't know if he's able to keep up like he did before.

I do not think we will see a goalie added mid season unless there are injuries. These would be great trades though. Very complete team.

Yeah, I'm still pretty indifferent about Hellebuyck. The future contract keeps me from saying that it's a great idea. I could live with VV/ Schmid.

The Winnipeg trade won't happen.

Flames could get more than that for Tanev.

Buffalo especially as he is exactly what thier blueline is missing.

Buffalo has a great prospect pool too. I could see that.

Exactly, they are missing the calming presence on thier backend and Tanev has proved in the past that he can elevate young defenders.

Likely could get Peyton Krebs or Ostlund + Juju for Tanev without retention which is a lot more appealing from a flames perspective.

Doubt they’d go for a higher end piece like Hellebuyck but i could definitely see them looking for some sort of backup #2 as more insurance entering the playoffs considering after Schmid it’s Kallgren and Daws. As for Tanev, I feel like Calgary is good enough to bounce back and make the playoffs and I think they may end up trying to resign Tanev. Not sure they get much out of the deal proposed here.

RUSH THE CUP is the motto for the Devils in 2023 i guess. window just opened but hey lets RUSH FOR A CUP cuz we dont know how to act after making playoffs since 2018. So get to UFA just to lose them to FA cuz helly isnt getting what he wants and the Devils would rather spend that money on locking up Mercer,Schmid and Hughes.
