Yup. We clear a spot for Kovalenko and get some assets back. The only reason I wouldn't do that is if we are just tearing ^%& up and it looks like we could make a run. I don't think we have the team for that and frankly I think we should be thinking about gearing up for 2024-2025, but I know I'm in the minority there.

The only way they aren't going for it is if they don't make the playoffs.. I don't know what you expect from kovelenko but the guy shows up in april-may and has 10-15 games to learn the system as an nhl rookie.. I think you have to lower some expectations there
