I'd Have Dallas and Colorado over the Rangers, even without Landeskog, and with Landy i'd have them over TOR now that they have Johansen

Replace OTT with BUF and switch up TOR and NJD and maybe EDM

That’s fair they are my Honourable mentions but Dallas is most likely gonna have duchene and Pavelski on the third line and colorados 5th and 6th aren’t even close to Ottawas and the rangers in my opinion

That's fair with EDM... but the diff between NJD and TOR is that I feel the diff between 1-4 for Toronto is bigger than the gap between and 5-6 for NJD (and even then, we have yet to see Bert play a full season for a very good team so even this time next year, Toronto can be the runaway better than NJD)

Yeah it was tough putting NJD over TML they are just so close and I can see why people would put Toronto over NJD cause they do have more star power that is forsure

Well just based on last season NYR were 12th in the league in scoring, they haven't added anyone new to their top 6. Of the 11 teams ahead of them last season 4 of those teams got better top 6s and one of those teams got worse (Boston) the other 6 have not changed. So unless the Rangers young wingers have great seasons or the teams that were ahead of them fall off like Seattle I'd say there are a few teams with better top 6s. OTT was 18th in scoring last season (lost big cat but added Tarasankshow) so similar thought process behind that as well.

Definitely better top 6s: Florida, LA, Tampa, COL

Potentially better top 6s: DAL, SEA, BUF, Vegas, PIT, Carolina

Florida's top 6 clears NYR.

Barkov and Tkachuk is easily better than Zibanejad and Panarin.
Barkov is a Selke winning centre. Tkachuk literally finished with back-to-back 100pt+ seasons.

Reinhart > Kakko and Bennett > Chytil (slightly)
Verhaeghe and Trocheck are kinda equal.

Buffalo, Florida and Dallas scored more goals last year than any of Toronto, Ottawa or Rangers. Not sure if you can attribute it all to their respective top-6's, but it should be considered.

No way they break up the Pavs - Robo - Hintz line. But I think if you're doing the best top 9, Dallas is top 3, if not 1
