***AS MUCH AS I LOVE WHAT MSL IS DOING I FEEL PATRICK ROY IS THE PERFECT COACH FOR THIS TEAM IN 2024. MSL IS GREAT AT BRINGING TALENT OUT OF PLAYERS ON AN INDIVIDUAL LEVEL, PATRICK ROY IS BETTER AT MANAGING PEOPLE IN A TEAM DYNAMIC. DURING HIS PLAYING CAREER, PATRICK ROY WATCHED OTHER TEAMS OFFENSES COME DOWN THE ICE TOWARDS HIM FOR YEARS, I'M SURE HE'S MORE THAN CAPABLE TO COACH THE CANADIENS. MSL WAS BROUGHT IN SO THAT HE COULD GET FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE AS AN NHL COACH, NOT AS SOMEONE WHO WAS A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT.

Sorry Hab fan, but the Rangers don't touch that offer and Schneider is off limits and they will EASILY sign him to an extension next year. Just like all the nonsense this off season with they don't have the money to sign Laffy and Miller and will have to dump Goodrow.....it was all nonsense and thinking they do not have cap room for Schneider next year is just as much nonsense.

Rangers can buyout Goodrow and trade Trouba or Kreider if they have to to make room. Schneider's not gonna be coming in at more than 2.5m probably since he's a shutdown D. They will have no problems resigning him. Decline.

Roy had really great ideas & really bad ones too. The man revolutionized modern goalie pads, & created the coaching strategy to pull a goalie before 2m. However, as coach, Roy demanded the Avs chip the puck out of the D zone. This created so many turnovers and was the reason for their bad metrics. He also used the bizzare man-to-man D system, which they eventually ditched bc it was very tiring & confusing.

If he were to coach again, I'd hope he has adapted

The idea of replacing MSL with Roy is gross. We ditch the coach who would be hired by another team in a second, to get the coach who is available and no one wants to hire? Great idea!

Drury says no chance, but since the Habs are broke next year and Drury wants Dach, the Rangers trade Zac Jones, Louie Domingue, a 5th round and 7th round picks in 2026 for Dach.

Yes Habs fan please tell me more about the team I'm a fan of that you think I don't know. When I said the Rangers had space to resign Schneider that included having to resign our RFAs. What part of dumping Goodrow, Trouba or Kreider to make room don't you understand?

Lol. Lindgren is going before Schneider is. While great, Ryan's style of play ages poorly. And he's already older than Schneider and will be more expensive. He's getting moved before Braden is. And I say this as a Lindgren fan.
