Too many wingers so you trade away 1 winger for 2 wingers in return? Moldenhauer would probably cost more than 2 bottom pairing 6th defensemen as well.

I doubt Dallas trades away their playoff breakout defenseman for Eberle, who would in all likelihood be a rental for them. Seattle wouldn't make the trade with the Leafs; they need defensemen more than they need wingers, so trading two good NHL level blue liners for a couple of wingers who wouldn't help the team this year makes zero sense for the Kraken.

Doesn’t mean you can just throw whatever expensive forward you want at a team with no cap space and expect an A prospect in return. Stars don’t need wingers. Harley isn’t going anywhere. Cheers

If I'm the Leafs GM I'd do that trade but I can't see the Stars doing the first part

What? I'm not questioning the trade to the Leafs...... Your title illustrates Seattle has too many wingers so I'm questioning why you would trade 1 winger to get 2 wingers? And secondly I'm saying Broberg and Hanley aren't enough to get Moldenhauer and Robertson. Moldenhauer has a higher ceiling than both Broberg and Harley combined, both those guys will never make it to the 1st or 2nd pairing so at best they will be on the 3rd pairing unless they go to a team like AZ then maybe they could be a 2nd pairing. But outside of that they will never surpass the 3rd pairing. Moldenhauer has 1st/2nd line potential.....

Dallas is sound offensively, since their biggest issue is defense they won't be trading defense for offense.
