holmberg over gambrell. timmins is not getting waived

Leafs won’t make any more trades timmins is definitely getting waived and claimed pretty sure holmberg doesn’t require waivers so he most likely going down unless he looks amazing for in preseason

Gambrell has a 1 way contract can't go to AHL so he would have to be waived. For me I put Holmberg up where Robertson is. Holmberg deserves more of a spot , he proved he is very reliable defensively and this roster needs a bit more of that. Letting Timmins walk on waiver would be a mistake.

So the leafs lose Timmins and Lafferty on waivers. Instead you could trade Jarnkrok or waive him if you have too. You than keep Lafferty, Timmins. No way are they sending down Woll he will never clear waivers. I think Steeves is going to surprise in camp and earn a spot on the 4th line. Gambrell, Jones and Benoit are AHL bound with Jones probably being claimed.

You are correct that Gambrell would require waivers. However, I hate to be that guy, but a 1 way contract doesn't mean anything regarding waivers. It just means he's paid the same in the NHL and AHL. Waiver eligibility is based on other things like age, nhl experience,...
