Frankly think the Wings have one of the deeper rosters in the league- so much so I can see the potential for 9 20 goal scorers here.

A lot of us really though Edvinsson was going to make the team, but another year in Grand Rapids certainly isn't going to hurt him, the same to be said for Berggren.

Traditionally, the Wings have been a team that takes their time with young talent (there are exceptions to that rule). Where in Tampa, under Yzerman time in the AHL wasn't necessarily common (Point, Cirrelli), I wonder if Stevie is getting back to what worked for the Wings.

And if the Wings look to miss (which I think the remaon very much in the mix), those expiring 1 year deals on Perron, Sprong, Ghost etc net additional picks. If they stay in the mix as I think they do, these guys cost the Wings nothing and they play it out to push for a spot.

Not sure I call this years Wings weird.... they are going to be pretty good; with the flexibility to do things.

Maata to Vancouver makes too much sense now, theres a logjam on that defense, none of those guys deserve to be scratched and are better then a #7 waiting for an injury to get in the lineup.
