Damn this guy really think Marky is gonna have a huge bounce back year YIKES. Yes great idea the devils should get a goalie who is good one year then trash the next year that Marky for you inconsistent what the devils need nice job with that idea.

Luke Hughes is untouchable and Palat blocks the trade. Liljegren is good but not worth a quarter what Hughes is, and Markstrom was so bad last year that he singlehandedly lost the Flames their playoff spot.

Contrary the outrage in the comments. I believe if you take some time to think through the Calgary flames it's a great deal for the Flames.

Brodie and Tanev are largely equal
Markstrom is a player the Flames should be happy to trade with Vladar and Wolf behind him. At $6M for 3 years his value is likely negative after last year.
Ruzicka is a longshot to be anything more than a 3rd liner.
Most pro scouts would argue the same for Coronato
1st figures to be a late pick.

This deal could net Calgary a top 10 winger for essentially a late 1st.

The New Jersey trade is absurd.
