I don't think the value bad per-se on the CGY deal. I just don't think CGY does it. A young very good top-four cap-controlled RHD is hard for any team to move.

Higher odds of Guhle or Harris then Xhekaj.
Him going to the AHL to play with Mailloux is why he'll survive long term
He'll bond and we'll have Twin 6'4 Terrors on our Blue line behind Hutson and Reinbacher as well as Guhle/Harris-Barron
Size, Skill , Speed and Special Teams QB capability.
They'll create so much space for the other Players/Pairings
