Wishful thinking that either of Lindholm or Hanifin hit free agency

1. Coyle is overpaid for his production, so I doubt you get value.

2. Philadelphia is nowhere near contending. Why would they want Ullmark. If they did try to acquire him, my assumption is they’d try to get of Courturier’s contract. The comp package is probably close

3. No to Hanifan. We don’t need to allocate more money to D and he’s likely to be overpaid

Who woke up this morning and said, “let’s trade Ullmark to Philly.” Just kind of a random thought. Weird trade. I don’t even know what to think about it as a Flyers fan.

Coyle is also under appreciated for what he does night after night. They would be foolish to move him.

I'd be leary of LIndholm and his contract. Yes he's a nice 2nd line centre, but he'll be almost 30 when his new contract starts. Unless he has Bergeron genes, he's gonna to get overpaid in $$$ and term by some team.

Very solid 3C who is very good on the defense. His consistency has been a concern if you move to a 2C

Barring the emergence of Zacha, Merklulov, and Poitras, I assume we will be overpaying for a center next year in free agency

I dunno. The cap will be going up, so his cap-hit becomes less of an issue. I don't think the return is really that bad for two years. He's fairly consistent. With Carter coming off the books and depending on how players like Acciari & Eller pan out? I think the return is in the ball-park. For a 3rd and a 4th, I could see a little retention. Maybe in the $500K to $1M range.

All I’m suggesting is his salary is likely high for his production. That usually impacts the value teams trade.

This would only be accepted if we somehow were immediately able to flip him for more somewhere else which makes no sense cause then Boston should have just taken the better offer lol. We already have too many goalies and even if he would be our best option we aren’t looking to win so it doesn’t matter if he would be our best or not there’s no reason to spend the assets on him
