Description

Per Elliotte Friedman: Tatar has switched agents and is believed to be leaning somewhere east.

The agency that Tatar switched to also represents: Horvat, Pageau, Cizikas, Martin, Clutterbuck, Parise and Bailey.

Isles can fit him in at $1.38m without making any moves (aside from waiving Johnston and Kuhlman). I think Tatar still gets $2.5-3m on a one year deal. Maybe there is a surprise Clutterbuck retirement looming? That would get Tatar closer to that figure. Parise could still be added as a mid-season addition. Doesn’t sound like he’s retiring, just not going to camp right now. Isles have a hole at LW3 that Tatar can fill

This makes a bit of sense but i feel like the Isles should go after kane, he'll add a touch of scoring you could never get from a Tatar, or Palmieri, or Engvall.

I'd play Tatar with Horvat & Barzal and Lee with JGP and Wally. There is too much redundancy in Bo and Lee's playing styles for them to be on the same line at 5v5.

Islanders could be a very good option for Tatar.
Carolina could be another good option.

While your concerns are valid, I think Engvall is poised for a big season offensively next to Nelson. They had outstanding chemistry last year
