I think you are overvaluing the cap space Van is getting here. Yes they need some cap relief but they have way less risky options to do it. Pearson, Myers etc.

Canucks will be cap compliant with Mikheyev starting the year on LTIR. If they wanted, they could bury Pearson as well. Way better than shipping out Boeser.

Canucks easily decline. While Boeser is making more than Armia, he’s far closer to worth his contract than Armia is. Boeser is still a good offensive 2nd line winger for Vancouver, Armia wouldn’t even make our NHL roster. You’d have to offer up a lot more to convince Van to take such a massive downgrade from Boeser to Armia.
