Holtz would be a winger on top 9. Haula stays at center, McLeod stays 4th line.

Yea I was gonna say that McLeod anywhere in the lineup other than at 4C would spell disaster for the Devils.
He can be a genuine asset as a 4C but dude's overall a super limited NHLer.

Last year, devils had one consistent line. The 4th line. The rest of the top-9 just mixed constantly. And it worked. So I’d imagine we see more of the same. If anything, Lindy finds pairs to keep together. Hischier and Bratt. Haula and Hughes. Mercer and Palat had some success together. I’d go with something like…

Holtz Mercer Palat
Nosek/Foote McLeod Bastian

But they may want Mercer on wing…which would shuffle Haula to 3C. And look like this….

He started at 3C a few times last year…including in playoffs. But probably good bet he is 4C most of the time.
