I don’t see the Flyers accepting that the futures will be late realistically and years away and they would have further flip Debrusk to even make it maybe worth it

Could just re-sign debrewski as a cheaper Konecny replacement

Why would the rebuilding flyers want to re-sign a player the same age as TK? If they trade TK it’s because we are rebuilding and he doesn’t fit the timeline age and contract wise so why would we then go and immediately re-sign a player of the same age and contract timeline

There is a good chance that 2024 pick is a 2025 pick (see Meiee trade)

To lock him in for cheap as the cap rises. The problem with Konecny's contract is it expires in 2 years. At that point he'll want a hell of a lot more money and term than Debrewsky would as he sees the cap. If flyers can sign Debrewski to 4-5 years, they'd have him for cheap through 2-3 years of Mitchkov era. Then he expires perfectly when Mitchkov will need his extension

Devils decline. If we're spending a 1st+ on a goalie it should be someone better than Ullmark. If Ullmark is elite again, Boston declines obviously

I'd want the Devils to jump on that if offered before the season starts.
Very iffy about trading for starting goalies once the season has already begun however so if it's as late as the TDL into the season I'd want the Devils to steer clear.

You did not improve the team at all. You actually made it worse. The offense barely improved while D a tending got significantly worse.

Oh and the difference between Debrusk and Konecny is barely anything, it is certainly not a pair of 1sts and Lysell.

Zacha and Coyle as your top 6 Cs and you add...two wingers.

I'd make that trade rn for the Devils. who know what the TDL looks like

That is way, way too much for Konecny. You’re basically paying 4 first round picks worth of value.

Sharks decline 10 times out of 10. No way we would ship out Barabanov for a 3rd and a C prospect while also using up our last retention spot.

I'd take that deal in a heartbeat for PHI
