Ottawa has $895,000 in cap space, bringing in another $6.1M makes no sense.

If you want to overpay Pinto, you will need to overpay Ottawa.

As pointed out above, the issue with Pinto is cap space but the return you’re offering has Ottawa taking on even more salary.

I love Backlund and what a great 2-way center he has been in his career but the guy turns 35 in March and is UFA after the season

A 2nd and Schwindt don't do much here
