Yikes! You’re essentially giving up Kakko, Panarin, Jones, & Sykora for a 2nd and Leonard. If Leonard hits this is great for the cap but if he doesn’t this is disastrous! And even if he hits it won’t be for a few years likely, meaning your essentially putting the rangers back into rebuild mode till 25/26.

Panarin isn't the main event of the trade. NYR would even retain salary on him if needed.

Who is? KK? Zach Jones is a good piece, but hawks are loaded with LHD guys, especially Korchinski, Kaiser and Vlasic...they are set there. KK provides some value, but nowhere near the asking price you have here. Panarin is a negative asset to the Hawks timetables.
