Look at it this way - Kulikov got essentially the same AAV (shorter term), and hey, I'd much rather have Alzner.

I had Alzner signed at $4.5MM on ArmchairGM teams months ago and got grief from some of you who felt he'd be worth $6+. Bully for you guys.

Cap hit is too high this guy has always been over rated anyways. I'm glad since not a Capitals fan, though had to vote no on this one. Capitals had too many of the same type of guy on defense who can't score enough points in todays NHL. This guy didn't have the best ratings in a UFA chart I saw either, better here than Kings signing him as some people had wanted smile.
