Yeah he would, totally forgot about him lol he’d be in over Gio, same with Chara over Pietro.

Forgot Chara and Shea, I’d take Gio and Pietro out and have Chara at 9 and Weber at 8, move Josi to 10. Wouldn’t put Keith in my top 10, he’d probably be on the top 15 but just outside here. Karlsson is criminally low on your list though, shouldn’t be lower than 3rd at least

The problem is many didn't play as much as others since 2010, I just looked at PPGs since January 1st 2010

Top-15 for guys with 500+ games

Erik karlsson
Kris Letang
Roman Josi
Brent Burns
Victor Hedman
John Carlson
Dustin Byfuglien
John Klingberg
Tyson Barrie
Torey Krug
Alex Pietrangelo
Dougie Hamilton
Shea Weber
Keith Yandle
Drew Doughty

Top-10 for guys with less than 500 games

Cale Makar
Quinn Hughes
Adam Fox
Rasmus Dahlin
Charlie McAvoy
Thomas Chabot
Zach Werenski
Shea Theodore
Miro Heiskanen
Devon Toews

Notable names after the Top-15 above : Morgan Rielly, P.K. Subban, Mark Giordano, Duncan Keith, Aaron Ekblad, Ryan Suter, Seth Jones, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Jared Spurgeon, Ryan McDonagh, Jaccob Slavin, Zdeno Chara...

Well good luck making a Top-10, but I'd do it for D-men with only 500+ games (the more younger ones should maybe ranked in the 2020's

1. Karlsson
2. Hedman
3. Letang
4. Josi
5. Burns
6. Pietrangelo
7. Doughty
8. Weber
9. Keith
10. Carlson

Guys like Fox and Makar shouldn't be considered IMO. Not enough seasons in the 2010-present range.

Finally, some respect for Pietrangelo. Eternally underrated by nearly everyone, including the media (who clearly don;t watch as much hockey as they should).

That's the thing, I only use myself and websites as a source, I don't give a crap about what medias say.

For guys with 500+ games, Pietrangelo is 11th in PPG since 2010, which means that just for offensive production he is very close to the Top-10. But his overall game sets him apart, he easily clears Klingberg, Barrie and Krug, enough to leapfrog Byfuglien and Carlson too

I said that about the media because they get paid to know what they're on about, but often don't, and then some people just repeat what they write uncritically until it becomes "true". A certain popular stats guru at The Athletic is a prime example.

Medias can’t cover 32 teams and know all players extensively, plus they probably don’t dig enough on players before forming an opinion

Pietrangelo has been among the elite his whole career, he confirmed his elite status in his 2 runs for the cup as the #1 D-man

Heh. They could watch all 32 teams more than never. And if they can't then they don't need to be opening as if they do.

But you're spot on about Petro. Perpetually underated.
