Jake McCabe returned a 1st with 2 mil retention for 3 years from Toronto, but considering vans 1st is more valuable than torontos this probably isn’t all that far off

Well you Nucks fans are certainly welcome to your opinions as much as we are. Thing is you Nuck fans seem to covet him as there are regular ACGMs posting trades to get him . We Hawks fans pay closer attention to the current state of the Hawks (as one would expect) & know what he brings to the table for us. He has a ton of value right now . The future will be a different story but if he Nucls really want him they will have to pay the Hawks price. If the Nucks think it’s too high, there are plenty of other Dmen out there. Suggest a trade for one of them instead.

Well I am not a Hawks fan, but I can assure you that you are under valuing Murphy.

1. More than capable of playing 20 minutes+ a game

2. I would argue one of the top 10 defensive defenseman in the NHL. Just because the Hawks havesucked doesn't mean he does.

3. Plays a physical game

4. Rather durable despite his game.

5. Leadership qualities.

6. The contract is decent and has term.

You are simply trying to get something for nothing here. And considering you lined Murphy up with Hughes, suggests to me you know Murphy is more than just a #4 defenseman.

This Leafs fan is insulted on behalf of Hawks fans.
