A goalie with a torn ACL a year ago and picks, Doesn't even get Connor Hellebuyck out of Winnipeg. That offer would be blown away.

Didn't Seattle already have Fleury?

Two 1sts ++ for a rental Hellebuyck and relatively worthless pieces wouldn't be "blown away".

Yeah well no sane GM, Is giving up Two 1sr++ for a rental goalie period. Especially not Ron Francis.

Flyers are likely going to miss the playoffs, so there's no reason to trade for a rental.

Interesting. Some questions:

1. Where will Seattle finish in the ranking?

2. What will most likely be the PP?

3. Who is likely to have a breakout year or who will surprise in terms of point production? Who is advantaged by the line combinations?

4. Who is likely to have a bad year in point production?

5. How many games each goalie is likely to play?

It's blown away by better quality, Driedger already has suffered a torn ACL which are death sentence for goalies. Plus Chevy is trying to compete now so he's not taking on multiple picks.

Heh, assuming this deal is a trade deadline deal, Driedger will have a couple of weeks left on his contract so it's just a cap-balancing addition. If Chevy can get two 1sts and two 2nds for his rental goalie, he's definitely taking it.

RF never even considers the deal with the Jets. If you listen to any of his interviews about why they didn't trade at the deadline last year it all came down to the costs were too crazy. As a GM he has never traded a 1st round pick before, and I would doubt he does it for a rental at the deadline.

Flyers aren’t paying for a 33 year old they don’t need or what during a rebuild
