Description
Forwards
-Roy I know but everything he’s done so far in camp tells me he’s a fit.
-Gally on the 4th line, but hear me out and think of it more as a 3B energy line that gets the greasy goals and plays 12+ minutes a game.
-Armia can’t be kept on the roster at the risk of losing Andersson or Ylonen on waivers, both of those guys have earned a chance, also sucks to waive Pezzetta I’ll agree.

Defence
-Savard does not have the foot speed to face top opposition. 3rd pairing and top PK are where he should be.
-Harris may be a stretch but I believe is the best option from who is available to play with Matheson.
-Kovy is solid and Guhle will be all the better having him as a partner this season.
-Barron is waiver exempt and will benefit playing top pairing with Trudeau in the AHL. Both guys will be first call-ups.
-Mailloux and Struble will play second pairing in Laval and will have the stability of staying there and refining their game.

Goaltending
-Monty will be given the chance to prove he’s #1.

All this being said I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hughes make another transaction to move a body or two by the end of camp.

Agreed. He and Evans form ⅔ of what I think is one helluva good 4th line. Quick, a little offensive pop, tough on the puck with a physical edge.

This is a case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Way more flux and questions on the blueline and 3rd line. The 4th? No..... I roll with what worked last year.

Good chance Andersson clears waivers so it really isn't a worry. I guarantee Pezzetta doesn't clear waivers. So many teams could use him on the 4th line.

Swap Pearson with RHP.

1st: creative skill line
2nd: brute force line
3rd: speedy tenacious line
4th: slow but steady line

Matheson - Savard is fine as long as Savard doesn't keep suffering an identity crisis. He needs to make good reads to get a head start back, not force himself into deep offensive zone excursions.
Guhle needs to learn and have the freedom to develop his game. We don't have a reliable vet to partner with him but we have Barron in the same boat. If they can learn and work together, let them make their mistakes and grow as a pair so they can gain valuable experience.
Harris - Kovacevic work well enough together. The question is how long they will be around. Both will be fighting for their jobs continuously as they are pushed from behind for the foreseeable future, so being steady may not be enough. They'll have to show more moving forward, either individually or together.

Pezzetta over Andersson got it, I was on the fence about that myself.
