    As a Hawks fan, trust me when I say Dach can't play center. He could never win a faceoff even if his life depended on it.

    I don't really see the reason for this for the Hurricanes. I'll admit I'm not very in tune with how good our prospects are, let alone other teams, but I would assume the Canes prospects are slightly better because a rosterred NHLer is coming back. The problem is that the Hurricanes don't need another defenseman, especially LD. If I'm wrong and Beck + Farrell > Suzuki and Nadeau then I suppose we accept but then why is MTL offering?

    Yeah probably. Suzuki is a nothing asset at this point, he'll never be more than a fringe guy, and nadeau was a 30th overall pick. Maybe it'd be somewhat reasonable with just matheson with no retention, but then carolina doesn't need him at all

    His wrist was broken.
    Maybe if he's recovered well he can win face-off again.
    If he can't play center mtl has other options
