If the Jets are out of playoff contention and start selling, they'd be ludicrous not to accept an offer like this.

And DeAngelo is?

Brind’Amour can get players to buy in. And this would give CAR a guy that can play 1C if Aho gets injured. If Aho goes down with the team as is, this team won’t go far imo.

Think for the jets, they have an odd philosophy in trading. They pride themselves on being a draft and develop team, but in trades they prioritize getting a better young player piece and picks come second. Which goes totally against their “draft and develop” philosophy.

I mean DeAngelo didn't cost any assets to acquire unlike Scheifele would. Scheifele is an upgrade over KK at the moment and it would give them a very strong center depth (Scheifele, KK, Aho, Staal)
