Trading out your best value contract won't get you out of cap hell.

As far as Anaheims side goes, we'll give you a third for his negotiation rights at end of season.

Leafs are not in cap hell at all...

They are actually cap compliant with a 20 man roster. Which they are more likely going to do to start the year. It's not ideal but it's what several teams will be doing.

Value is there but I don’t know if I want to trade nylander and not looking forward to seeing trades every day till he signs at Christmas

IF we want Nylander, we will wait until we can grab him for free as a FA

We certainly aren’t paying nearly Tkachuk type prices for him

Wait, you’re telling me a rebuilding team that just finished in last place isn’t into trading their 1st and 2nd round picks for a pending UFA?!
