Description

We were talking about this on hfboards and I thoght I'd take a look at it from the Jackets' perspective, as I don't know enough about Vancouver to make a sensible roster for them. Laine at C opens up a spot for a top-6 RW and I am a longtime Beauvillier fan.

Also tinkered around with the lineup to what my ideal would be. I didn't bother to move out the extra bits, just left them as a fifth line, but of the three, I'd keep Olivier as the 13th and waive or trade the other two.

Often Beau for Peeke was met with 'CBJ has too many wingers', camp/pre-season suggested a need in CBJ?

I'm usually the one who says I'd do it. Post didn't save my description, so I had to go back and edit it in. Beauvillier I think fits a niche that Columbus could use, which is a top-6 RW with a mean streak. If Laine's at C, then Columbus needs specifically that. I don't think Texier and Danforth in house have quite that skillset.

We would probably need a pick as Beauvillier is probably a rental and we would like some sort of asset back for Peeke as he is cost controlled for the next few years on your end.

Not set in stone but he looked PASSABLE out there (sorry I couldn't resist it). Its a bit hard to tell because St. Louis is kinda of a slow team but he did excellent on faceoffs (58%). If he is our 1C then we would probably need a winger for 1-2 years until Dumias is ready.

I really don't think we need that extra winger. Silly might play the wing this year plus Chinny can play top 6 not to forget KJ and Tex. Also is this finally who bemmie is? Patty in the middle means booner can probably more back out to the wing. Jack has boon on the wing for some of preseason also. I think we don't see any moves untill Dec. See who is what to start the year and see if they can pick their value up in the first 2 months. I know we don't have it but this season is all about patience.
