its better for him and the franchise, he clearly doesnt care to win he wants the spotlight but he just needs to accept the fact that hes in toronto. this is the year he needs to show his true potential. I agree he shouldnt get trade but if hes gonna complain about money saying hes worth over 10 then hes not right here. next offseason if nothing happens to him this season he will either resign if him and leafs come to agreement or he may walk if he doesnt appreciate it here

Columbus passes. They're rebuilding and do not have a roster spot open for a 30+ year old forward making that much money when they can just give it to a kid who's already under contract for minimum to get reps at the NHL level, and save their picks. I wish Toronto the best of luck in their quest to ice a full cap compliant roster, but Columbus isn't paying picks to help you out of your jam for a player they don't want or need.

Columbus definitely passes, but i dont think TOR will get that good of return from anyone. Everyone knows that TOR is trying to shed salary and they arent going to give true value for any player.

Nash needs young player/picks more than expiring UFA's. pass

Leafs have to move some of these current HOF players so they can bring up all their prospect who are all future HOF's
