It's obvious to some. They're not interested in trading Jarnkrok, and they already have enough forward depth. They are invested in playing Timmins as there 7th defenseman. There cap problem isn't as complicated as you think.

Just pressed edit on the ACGM, reverted the trade and re did it without the 6th

I don't think the Leafs would trade Jones to TB for a 7th it's either waiver wire or they give something better (maybe a 5th but even that might not be worth it for Trelivingl.No reason to directly help the competition. Might as well hope that he does not make it to TB if put on the wire.

If Minten makes it honestly I think Gregor might not make it or signs an deal and is waived.

As in a sense his spot will go to Lafferty on the 4th line they both have looked good to where its to close to call.

I think Minten's waiver exemptness might seal his fate. Probs will go to Juniors and to WJC. But the impression he left on the coaches has made it to where a spot could be waiting 2024-2025 and if Willy gets 10m were gonna need all the ELC's we can get lul

That might be just a Dubas thing I thought it was dumb to let hyman go for nothing when they could've got a 6th. Rolling the dice on a 7th round pick vs nothing is crazy this isn't the real world its a competition I'd think whatever small edge a GM can get they take.

Not really. The particular situation was specific to Dubas, so maybe he was being a little petty because of how GMs were treating him when it came to cap savings. That being said Hyman was guaranteed to leave at that point so the best thing Tor could have gotten put of thst was a pick. With Jones, the best thing is thst he actually passes through waivers, although unlikely. That being said if he does get claimed by TB then it is what it is. Late picks don't mean much in the end.





Yeah, that's perfectly normal. There's no blame on the GM if he loses a player to waivers or indirectly helps another team.
