IMO Norlinder stays over Barron. You carry 2 extra forwards typically over two D. Barron doesn't need waivers.

Which means one of Heineman, Ylonen and Primeau has to go.

Heineman is the only one who doesn't need waivers so it's likely he gets papered down but stays. He's earned a spot.

Gotta think Hughes is trying to play his cards right so he doesn't lose Primeau for nothing. There is no way the run with three goalies. It is NONSENSE. I can't imagine anyone would claim Primeau with multiple better goalies on the waiver line (Jones, Stolarz, Luhhkonen) but who knows.

They can’t submit any players on waivers until Tuesday I think ? Heineman Barron Norlinder are all waivers exempt. They will send down a lot of players waivers exempt to reach the 20 man roster while keeping Carey Price on LTI when they submit the list. They will recall whoever they sent in the minor for Opening Night. If Primeau is being waived, it’s gonna be later

Evyerone knows that nobody is picking up Armia's toxic contract.
Anaheim will always be ahead of other teams on this site, so I get that they are a "random team placeholder".

The difference is not that important for this Montreal team, as they will have enough cap space during the season.
But normally, imaginging that Armia's contract would be totally 'off the books' is flawed.

Like CBA mentions, Armia's landing spot will be Laval (AHL), therefore, a relief of about 1.1 M off the salary cap. Not all of his contract.
