I can't see the Jets paying a premium for players they don't have a spot for.

Jets dont do this. If they moved Schmitt they'd do it to create room for their young D and giving up that 2nd rounder is insane. MTL could suck and the pick would be high. Better off holding on to Schmitt as they have the space (cap, not really roster) and keep the pick
