If Pinto doesn't sign soon, this is very reasonable.

Of course, losing Pinto will be a hard pill to swallow, but this return would be sufficient.

I would accept this if it's late November, nothing's happened and we are out of options.

Although I think the Isles might have too many centres to make acquiring Pinto worthwhile.

Fantilli is playing 3C as a rookie. Is he a 3C? Be serious. That’s a ridiculous take. A rookie playing 3C doesn’t mean his ceiling is a 3C LOL

What about Pageau and Wahlstrom for Pinto and Joseph?

Cap doesn't work. NYI would have to do 45% retention on Pageau.

I think if they're going to end up trading Pinto, it probably looks something like the OP though, not bringing Pageau back. Though Pageau was loved in Ottawa.

Why does it change the value?

Bro, you're talking to someone who waste internet bandwidth to say that Pinto was a 2nd rounder, like if it had ANYTHING to do with his value 5 years later. All his takes are ridiculous

That's pretty bad for Ottawa in terms of value and the only reason they might have wanted to trade Joseph was to create cap space to sign Pinto, not trade them both in the same deal... I talk in the past because they might not want to trade Joseph at all anymore

To be fair that was only one game.

All summer and all training camp too, Joseph has made it clear it would be stupid to pay to dump his contract. It's easy to see that he is dialed in to bounce back to at least his previous level (2021-22 he scored 30 ES/PK pts in 69 games while being one of the best PK forwards)
