This is honestly hilarious. EP40 would require much better pieces than Dach and Guhle who are both middle 6 potential guys. Would likely also take two firsts and a 2nd, rather than simply 1 first and 2 2nds, Huge overvalue on Dach and Guhle.

As a Habs fan, I'm tired of seeing all these... both Montral and Vancouver fans are tearing each other and ripping their shirts off their backs...
Historically, Montreal loves Vancouver and vice versa.

We should drop all these Petterson trade offers... it WOULD be an enormous trade; so I doubt that anyone could suggest a trade where both fanbases agree.

Also, Montreal's "win now window" is not the same.

agreed. imo a pettersson trade will have an "unpredictable" return.

for example, no one would have guessed the return Calgary was getting for tkachuk. i think it would be the same thing with petey.

Canucks are in win now mode. They aren't trading EP40 with this year and next year under team control. Even with saying that Dach and Guhle aren't enough. You Habs fans keep wanting EP40 you'll need to be ok with losing multiple firsts and have Caufield or Reinbacher in the offer or there is no chance.

When big trades actually happen, the whole hockey world is shocked.
Calgary and Sunrise fans would have screamed their hearts out with any proposal that looked similar to the one that went down.
Same with EP40.
