Very quick and easy no from the Hurricanes I think. Necas is an important piece to the puzzle up front, I doubt they get rid of him for anything other than a dynamic, top of the lineup forward.

Easy no from Carolina. They're a contending team, no reason to part with both Necas and Pesce. Not to mention they already said they won't be trading Pesce.
I would love if we added Dowd, but he will most likely cost a second. Literally the ideal fourth line center on a playoff team. 3 consecutive multi-goal seasons, RH shot, PK's, >50% faceoffs and >100 hits last few seasons. There will be a line of teams that will trade for him.

Caps definitely decline. Gonna be at LEAST a second round pick in this coming draft for Dowd especially with retention otherwise they just keep him.

So a LD that won’t get playing time anytime soon, a known cancer, and a 1st is pulling Necas and Pesce? Yeah, Canes will pass very easily on that.

Kane likely doesn't waive, and I'd rather have Necas than him anyway.
