Canucks decline. The point of moving Garland is to clear cap space. If he has to be retained to move in a deal like this they'd rather just keep him as he's the better player and worth the same with the retention, they won't retain and take on a worse player for no cap savings.

Terrible for Vancouver, makes no sense for them at all, person I think they should keep Garland.
