If you can sign Bear for 1m you won't want him playing on your team because he came back and played AWFUL. He's 2m min probably closer to 3.

The good news is I don't know if you need to pay that much, let alone anything to make that trade in the offseason with the cap going up.

That's pretty much how it will go down; it may not be those exact guys or that exact deal but it will look something like that. Manson's contract was designed to be tradable on the back half.

Hawks might consider that

I doubt the Avs will be giving up a 2nd to move Manson. Even if we look at it as a cap dump he still has some value if he's fit. If he's not then why would the 'hawks want him at all?
