He will be taking a pretty team friendly bridge w that imo. Hes a young RD who is pretty good and would be a 2RD on most teams. Players like TVR and Mayfield who are comparable to him make 3-4+ mil. He may be willing to take a pay cut but his worth is clearly higher than 2 mil imo

But he has no leverage. Drury would be using the Romanov contract as a comparable

2 years then he probably signs long term when Trouba is off the books

He doesn’t look ‘very good’. He’s doing well for a kid. No team is offering him 4M+… will he eventually be very good, probably but it’s not a lock. He hasn’t earned a contract worth that, NYR bridges are standard. The only exceptions have been fox(Norris) and shesty (Vez).
