I don't follow Ottawa closely and I know +/- is a trash stat, but Batherson's +/- is scary. Probably need to swap it to Garland for it to work for the Canucks, just structurally.

On paper, this team isn't even worse off.

Also, Ottawa (depth reasons) can't afford to do that trade, maybe if you remove Joseph. And now way you take the Konecny risk after the DeBrincat fiasco. Need to change management before doing anything like that

Ottawa should not touch that Vancouver trade as well.


To be fair, Batherson needs Norris more than his own mother and Josh has only been back for 3 games. Also, don't put any stock in this stat, DJ's systems can't play 2-way hockey to save his life (which has been extended way too long, same for the GM)

I would have zero interest in trading Batherson like that. He makes less than 5.0 AAV for the next 4 seasons, trading him would be a mistake. It's coaching staff and GM who need to be traded
