Terribly not realistic actually. You don’t sign guys in the off-season just to trade them at the deadline when they were brought in to help win - if they were rebuilding, sure. But not when you’re competing.

Domi isn’t getting moved. He brings the playoff element of physicality and skill and he was brought in more for playoff depth scoring than regular season stats.

Klingberg isn’t going anywhere because he was brought in to be the quarterback on the top PP unit and he’s been excellent in the role. There’s no need to move him at all.

Yes both have been great but timmins can handle the 3RD spot and domi unfortunately has to go to make cap work when getting tanev tanev is a huge boost and the one thing the leafs really need

Not realistic because Vancouver doesn’t need Klingberg. We have Hughes to QB the power play

Yeah I know that and there’s no way he knocks him off but he can certainly be a pp2 quarterback and excel at it he’s running Torontos pp1

Considering Klingberg is average at defense at best we do not need him, we have Hughes and Hronek both guys can play on the PP what we need is a solid two way top 4 RHD. So wasting a 2nd on a redundant player on the canucks would not be optimal in any sense.

Maybe Klingberg is worth that, but the Canucks wouldn't want him.

I think you are seeing the same negative elements in their (Domi/Klingberg) game that I am. When I watch those two I am thankful they are not on the Canucks. BIG misfires for T.O. IMO. I get it!!

Both have played very well honestly it’s just we can’t afford to expose Timmins to waivers he’ll be very important next year and domi can still resign but you need to move him or jarnkrok to make the cap work and jarnkrok is just as good offensively and miles better defensively

Not making a lot of sense although I'd like to see either a Tanev or Zadorov brought in at some point.

It was reported in a few places that Anaheim couldn't give Klingberg away at last year's deadline...so either he has a great season and increases his value (and if he does that, leafs probably aren't trading him), or he doesn't and nobody wants to spend that cap space on him.

Only scenario I can see is if the leafs make a trade with a non-contender and they agree to take Klingberg in the package because the rest of what the leafs are sending in the deal is worthwhile.

We have Hronek to run pp2

Klingberg is probably an upgrade there, but why would we care about upgrading that. Canucks barely play their second pp and Tochett is on record saying he wants two D out for about the last 20s. Between 1:30 going to the first pp usually and basically giving up on the last 20s to some extent. That's like a .1 efficiency add to our pp as whole.

The other problem is that Myres already didn't pair with Hughes Klingberg also doesn't pair with Hughes, we need at least one alternative on the right side to Hronek to go with Hughes. If you add Myers to this and make it even money you're getting closer to making sense for the Canucks, but now it makes no sense for the leafs.

You could also swap him for Garland and we'll take care of our Myres problem on our own. Again I don't think this makes sense for Toronto.
