No, we didn't, that was a Toronto fan.

That doesn't get an elite talent like Zegras, start with Reinbacher and add from there.

with a whooping 2 pts in 10 games.

Z is not a ppg player - slow your roll a bit.

60+ pt freshman and sophomore seasons, but sure bud, let's dial in on a 10 game sample size. In that case it should be WAY more than Reinvacher, since Reinvacher was a reach AND hasn't played a single NHL game yet. See how silly that logic is?

Lol, that's a MASSIVE overpay by MTL.

Really depends on that 2024 1st round pick. If its outside the top 10, then sure. Inside the top 10, no way. I like Zegras as much as the next guy but there are some issues of his game that need to be fixed before throwing legions of picks and prospects at him.

Doesn't this work the other way too? If Anaheim offered a similar package for Caufield, would Montreal accept?

On what grounds? MTL reached for Reinbacher due to need for RHD, Zegras has shown since his draft he should have been selected between 3 and 5 OA. Zegras has already shown hes a great offensive talent in the league, Reinvacher hasn't played in NA ice yet.

May be using the “elite” word a bit prematurely.

Montreal have plenty of young defenseman who can be shop. Harris and Barron are good option, but even two 1st round pick can be a "overpayment" for Zegras, but i'm ready to give two first at minimum, but that's should not include Guhle, Reinbacher or Hutson.

The last thing Anaheim needs is any more defensemen, we have the best defensive prospect pool in the NHL

Zegras is not worth 2 potential top 10 picks and other solid assets. There is no win win Zegras trade cause the Ducks being a rebuilding team will want a haul for a young player who has not fully proven to be a 200ft player but could potentially be a star player. While any team willing to trade a haul will have to be a rebuilding team who will lose multiple top picks along with other solid assets who will likely be just as good if not better than z.
