I see him like a perfect complement to Caufield and Suzuki with size and talent.

I don't think he's skilled enough to be any help really

Lots of value there but I don't know if we take a step back right now.

I may sound extreme, but really really solid idea. I love Rasmussen, could become a 50 pt power forward if he gets a good season and next season. Since he is a big guy, I don't think he is done developing. He could be a perfect hole filler until Slaf can complete that role, and with a better tool-set, should be a decent upgrade

He does get a lot of time on the PK as well.

Exactly, I think it would be a step back and that's not the direction we are trying to go I don't think. I don't see us being buyers but I don't see us take a step back. Probably sell UFAs at the deadline but not players with term or team control.

The guy that isn't a fit in Detroits top line but is somehow a fit on MTL's?? grimace

No thanks from my end and the price is wayyyyy too much for such a risk. Beck is a lock for 3C. Harris is a solid bottom pairing guy right now and Im curious to see where Tuch leads to.

I agree. I still don't see Detroit making the playoffs but if they do they won't be buying. After a long absence from the playoffs you have no idea how players will perform. So why trade for a player you might not need and since first round exit is most likely theres no reason to trade picks and prospects.
