Apart from the Pearson trade, the other 2 trades are not good for the Habs

Fast isn’t a dump. He’s a solid player. Value is good for all trades. Boston might say yes but I don’t think so. Doesn’t make sens to spend this much on a goalie for us.

If Monahan doesn't fetch at the very LEAST a 1st round pick and a bit more, the Habs will re-sign him.

I wouldn't think the Sabres would be in the market for a rental winger. Maybe if injuries are piling up, but I don't see it. I do think retaining is gonna be crucial, especially if you don't wanna take salary back.

I'd rather have Bradley Nadeau (great prospect drafted 30 OA in 2023) than watching Hughes draft another bust with a first round pick.

Absolutely delusional think the Canes would even consider making that offer for someone who is just going to get injured again. Canes pass very quickly without having any second thoughts.

Fast isn’t a dump either. But hey, since we are in fantasy land right now, Canes counter with Suzuki half retained for TDA, Drury, and a bag of used pucks with a gift card to Bojangles in one of the pockets.

I’m a habs fan and you’re telling me Nadeau+Fast+5th isn’t enough for Monahan. We might get more but this is already a solid offer. Nadeau was drafted in the 1st round and Montréal had a LOT of interest for him. We could flip Fast and get even more picks. Thinking about it Carolina probably declines. You’re hockey IQ doesn’t seem high..
