You'd have to throw in a pick with Klingberg but I'd do that. It couldn't hurt to have an offensive defenseman on this Sharks team.

Perry at 4M. Yeah no.

Perry took the Chicago tax. He’d be at league min or near it if he was on the Leafs.

Perry wouldn't have cost that to a competing team.

We needed scoring for Toffoli, not another dman(we thought Sharangovich would work well with Huberdueau but our coach won't keep them together)

He's not trading Klingberg to San Jose.
The whole idea of this particular armchair GM was to show what the Leafs should've done the in the offseason and he's saying Klingberg should not have been signed in the first place.

This is a Tanev trade in my mind. Don't want Lily, just me personally.

Different poops but same smell.

Best off season move would have been to replace Keefe?

Nope he isn’t the problem at all.

Saw the Leafs play, seems like they don’t want it and they’re not giving their 110% effort. Not responding vs adversity Not hitting enough not going in the corners to fight for the puck. Instead of standing up for your teammate you laugh on the bench when he got seriously injured. Resilience isn’t there. Yes they could score 4+ goals per game and get wins they don’t deserve but when the playoffs comes, against teams like Florida who are hardworking, have grit, who play hard, who are resilient a team that is sticking up for each other is obviously going to outperform Toronto. Keefe has one of the best winning record with the leafs, he’s been around for quite a long time and knows the team well. I don’t see how replacing him with someone like Woodcroft is going to make them better. Treliving seems to understand what I meant, bringed players like Bertuzzi Domi and Reaves thinking they wouldn’t be soft anymore, but unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. The reality of it is that the problem isn’t the coach or the GM, Dubas did his absolute best and gave all the tools to this leafs team to succeed. it’s the core of the team, players like Matthews Marner and Tavares. Rielly and Nylander are the only ones I see truly playing with heart and giving it everything. When you have Matthews extending at 14.5M while not even winning 2 playoffs round, it’s not great. Completely destroyed the salary hierarchy. Now what? Marner is going to ask 13 and Nylander 12? Matthews is making 2Mbmore than McDavid and Mackinnon. Keefe isn’t the problem.

Ya it seems like a Toronto thing.

I agree with what you say but I think if Keefe isn't THE problem ok, but he is a problem. After about his 20th game coached it has been this way. He is a poor motivator and bench boss. And if not poor than at least one would agree he is not the calibre of coach that Cooper or Cassidy are (or many others)...he is not a coach for a team with such lofty goals and expectations?

Agreed but the only way i see him being replaced is if there's someone better and with experience who already won. Someone like Cooper Sullivan Cassidy Gallant Bednar. Sullivan is the most likely to be available so lets see
