TOR would probably have to give up either Villeneuve or Niemela and it’s a done deal

Canucks decline. Way to much to give up for a 1 year rental. I personally don't think we are in a position to be making deals like this just because we've gotten off to a good start.

I thought about Villeneuve, doubt they'd be willing to give Niemela if those are both rentals.

It's definitely an assumption that their success will continue, but if it does I feel like it could maybe be a good fit.

Boston's 1st will be going to Ottawa since Boston is going to finish ahead of Detroit. Detroit's 2024 1st will more than likely be a lottery pick so I don't see them trading that. Maybe if it was Detroit's 2025 1st instead. I like Hanifin and he is a very good player but I'm not sure Yzerman makes this trade. Walman and Seider are great together and with Edvinsson and Johansson are ready to make the jump I'm just not sure Detroit needs Hanifin.

Elias Lindholm would be an expensive $9,000,000 3C in Vancouver.

Detroit passes, Wouldn't mind Noah Hanifin, But not at that price. And if Yzerman were to make a move for Hanifin. Pretty sure that Chiarot would be out the door not Maatta.

Canucks traded their own captain because he was a pending UFA wanting a raise. Why would the Canucks waste all these assets on a rental forward when they currently are the best offensive team in the NHl?

Canucks decline. We traded Horvat last season because he was an expensive 3C needing a big raise. Lindholm would be in the exact same position that Horvat was, Canucks won’t have the space to extend him and giving up all that for a rental 3C doesn’t make sense for us.

Can’t see Tre not re signing them both if he trades for them. But yes I’d rather keep villeneuve I think he could legitimately develop into a top 6 defender
