How many times does it need to be said that Pesce isn’t getting moved, and that any chance of that occurring died when the season started? Needless to say, the Canes pass.

I personally think hes not a fit for the Canucks for salary reasons.Great dman. But You can SAY it as much as you like hes not moving .The FACT is untill he signs a contract there is a possibility he gets moved.Just my opinion.

IMO, not much of a need to pay a 1st for guys like Pesce and Tanev. Think the Nucks are better off going for a younger guy like Boqvist, Peeke or Fabbro.

I don’t think the Canes would think twice about moving Pesce, with the caveat that the deal made them better. They have 5 top 4D at the moment.

That’s a pretty big caveat though. It’s going to be tough for any team to offer up a player or package that makes the Canes better than they are with Pesce on roster.

For argument’s sake, if a team offered a decent enough forward and the Canes felt they could add another depth D for insurance, I think Pesce’s bags would be packed.

Pesce is more than worth the first and is very very likely going to be better for the next few years than those three guys you mentioned are

Definitely don't want Boqvist unless he's dirt cheap. If the Canucks actually are legit, then if they're going to send out a first round pick for a Pesce sign and trade then it's probably worth it. I wouldn't send out a first for Tanev though.

Especially if they're sending out the 2024 pick, then it would have to be apparent the first rounder isn't going to be a particularly high pick if they're trading for Pesce, even as a rental.
