I kinda doubt CHI burns a retention slot for anything less than a 2nd, but, if it's down to the wire and the retention slot is still available and it's a pending UFA like TJ, sure, why not.

Not a bad trade but I don't think Colorado would be interested in Johnson

I think both of those picks are a round light.

I agree, I just don't see anyone we move off of with term left. I don't want to move Murphy because he is the perfect right pair guy for a young d-man, especially Korchinski. I could've included a Mrazek deal too and could definitely see it, but figure we only make one or two moves so we don't fully fully bottom out

What about a 4th? Or is the cap space/player the bigger issue?

No it's mostly that I don't think there's really a fit for Johnson here. Colton is tearing it up on the 3rd line, Johansen has been fine on the 2nd line, and I personal don't think he is usable as a wing. And yes, the cap is a bit too much.

Better off keeping Dickinson and trying to re-sign him than trading him for anything less than a 3rd

I know the team doesn't really matter but Caps are maybe the last team that needs another depth forward. They might be interested in Hall though!
