a healthy scratch making 9.1M in real money each of the next two seasons costs you asset(s) to move, you dont get the face of a franchise for that lmao

Stop with with “healthy scratch costs to move” rhetoric. He’s 100% still a valuable player that will return a decent package if traded. Of course the ducks aren’t trading the guy who’s obviously pretty important to their goal scoring abilities for Laine but stop acting like CBJ is going to have to pay to move Laine.

Lay off guys, I'm the one who made the proposal that opened this can of worms. Laine is a star player in his own right, he's just being criminally misused as a 1C in Columbus and there's clearly rot in that locker room as a result of the coaching fiasco.

Now I think Columbus adds something, not a straight up swap, but it wouldn't be a major piece, probably one of Peeke or Boqvist.

Just gonna skip over the 9.1M in real money? Laine making 9.1M a season for 2 more years is not a positive value asset, Healthy scratch or not

No need to lie to yourself. He’s 100% a positive asset.
