Seems fair both ways right? Caps get younger and more offensive. Edmonton gets a very solid defensive minded defenseman and a true starting goalie with some picks

As a caps fan I'd definitely take this deal.

Nuge can also play wing though, super versatile and the best contract out there. Caps would take Nuge if available

Nurse can't and shouldn't be moved. Yes he's overpaid (Holland's fault not his) but he's still the teams best d-man and his contract is too large to move. Moving him is a bad idea (I like the Sissons fit though)

Rangers reject, Nuge is great but the pieces given back are just more valuable. Lindgren is perfect for Edmonton though

Caps deal is interesting, it sucks that a move like this has to be made since both Skinner and Bouch are a lot better than their play right now. I still wouldn't do it but it might have to be done to salvage the Mcdavid era

Also the depth/goaltending may be better but the defensive group is worse. U traded the top guys (Bouch and Nurse) while keeping the issues with that d-group (Ceci/Desharnais)

Yeah I was trying to figure out a way to move them but I couldn't see another team taking them to give up a good defenseman without significant prospects and picks

Desharnais should just be waived, doesn't need to be moved

Ceci could be packaged with Bourgault/other offensive prospects and picks for a guy like Matheson

Nuge doesn't get all that from NYR. The guy is nothing without the powerplay
